Vine origins

  • Vineyard

    Rosengarten, Wagram ob der Traisen

The Rosengarten site is planted on a slope, inclined in southeasterly direction with deep lice soil, an ideal terroir for fullbodied and fruity “Grüner Veltliner”.

Vinification

Selection of good physiological ripe grapes, de-stemmed, crushed and after short fermentation with the skins pressed gently in pneumatic press. Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks followed after aging in stainless steel tanks.

Wine description

Crystal-clear with a medium yellow green color and aromas of peach and citric fruits. Stimulating spiciness yet provides a rounded harmonic taste supported with appropriate natural carbon dioxide fizziness. Very pleasant to drink in summer with its pleasant fruity body, which seems to be embedded in a flowering meadow.

Drink recommendations

Serve chilled (9-11° C)

Food pairings

fits well with typical Austrian cuisine, like pork stew with dumplings, “Viennese Schnitzel” or fried chicken
